I love this entry on blindspots. I have had many of those and its amazing how keeping it from the forefront takes up a lot of memory space as on a computer, and a lot of energy. I don't know the number of times I have expoded to keep blindspots sacred. Or secret really. Thank you for sharing as you do, thank you for helping me look at my blindspots and putting away the landmines which protect them. From me. And from my signigicant others.

that's weird, just last week I was thinking "maybe Michael could write about blindspots", as I'm sure we all have them- and great slip, where you write 20 tears rather then 20 years...another blindspot?

this takes me back to scout camp, oh how everything was simple then, but if i just take the time to step back and look at the big pitcure it becomes clear, that life has always been simple, we've just muddied up the waters and now we have to take the time to let them settle.

Thanks for your good ecotherapy work, Michael.

Just wanted to make sure you knew about the new anthology from Sierra Club Books, "Ecotherapy: Healing with Nature in Mind," which offers essays from folks like Joanna Macy, David Orr, Bill McKibben and many more.

That is exactly what I would recommend that you do. It is a change that may be difficult but it leads life into a transformation from fear to love.

I agree completely. So what should I think if my marriage is based soley on Codependence? Can this change? My husband wont change, so it's up to me. What should I do to assert my own identity without diminishing his?

The universe is the system I was speaking of. Remember the brain has no environmental sensory receptors. The body senses things not the brain. The brain analyzes what the body sense. The body speaks its peace through pain and pleasure. Pain creates a sense of dis-ease.

Are you saying that the immune system or our body "system" motivates us just as it needs to for events that we encounter? If only we would pay attention? Or do you mean a different system?
