Survival at its purest meaning has little to do with economics. It is sometimes linked to being able to conform with society’s expectations. This conformity is a “social condition” not a biological condition. Individually this means staying alive. This word is biologically speaking the acceptance of and the creative use of resources to bring our progeny to reproductive age. In our culture very few people even understand the concept of survival. We are usually using the word survival to dramatize mere preferences. We do not even come close to its life or death meaning. Stop being dramatic and enjoy the fact that we are rarely in a survival situation in the USA.
